Introduction
The Hyundai Xterra, launched on 10th July in India, is the South Korean automaker's entry-level SUV competitor to the Citroen c3 and the Tata Punch. The car has seven trims and multiple color options, including single-tone or dual-tone. You can read our review of the vehicle here.
What's good?
The Exter has all the advantages of a compact car but in an SUV body. The top-end model also has features, including segment-firsts like an electric sunroof and dashboard camera. It also has ambient sounds, connected car technology, and an ambient sound system. The claimed mileage is also impressive, with the petrol MT offering a range of 710km. The petrol AMT provides a range of 717km. And petrol-CNG has a distance of 1686km. Exter is the only car in the race so far, but a CNG-powered version of the Tata Punch will be released next month. It was showcased at the 2023 Auto Expo.
What could be better about Exter?
We have included the most expensive versions of the Exter at the end of this article, but they are too costly for the market segment in which this car operates. We know looks are subjective, but the Exter exterior design is quirky. It is still a niche where buyers are concerned about every penny, so the design must be unique.
What is the best variant of Exter to buy?
You can get a fully-loaded SX (O) AMT Connect to buy a vehicle like the Exter. It has all the features Hyundai provides and some segment firsts like an electric sunroof. If you don't need the Bluelink technology, you can get the sunroof in the SX model.
